Solid rubber
SBR Rubber (Styrene-Butadiene Rubber)
Characteristics: economical elastomer with good resistance to abrasion, wear, and thermal aging. It has fair elasticity and dimensional stability, but poor resistance to oils, hydrocarbons, and weathering.
Applications: anti-vibration mats, gaskets, industrial flooring, coatings, inner tubes, and components subject to mechanical wear but not in contact with oils or aggressive external agents.
NBR Rubber (Nitrile Butadiene Rubber)
Characteristics: a synthetic rubber highly resistant to mineral oils, fuels, greases, and hydrocarbons. Offers good elasticity, pressure resistance, and wear resistance. Less suitable for outdoor environments due to poor resistance to ozone and UV.
Applications: gaskets, oil seals, fuel hoses, coatings, and technical articles for automotive and industry, where oil resistance and mechanical sealing are required even under demanding conditions.
Neoprene CR (Polychloroprene Rubber)
Characteristics: versatile elastomer, resistant to moderate oils, weathering, ozone, and aging. Good elasticity, thermal stability (-30°C / +100°C), and natural flame-retardant properties.
Applications: gaskets, coatings, anti-vibration parts, wetsuits, and technical components for automotive, construction, marine, and electrical sectors, where environmental resistance, flexibility, and long life are needed.
EPDM Rubber (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer)
Characteristics: resistant to ozone, UV rays, weathering, hot water, and steam. The peroxide-cured version offers greater heat and chemical resistance and reduced permanent deformation.
Applications: gaskets for construction and automotive, flexible hoses, waterproof membranes, industrial profiles, and sealing systems exposed to heat, steam, or oxidizing agents. The peroxide variant is ideal for high-temperature and chemical stress environments.
Silicone
Characteristics: elastomer with excellent thermal resistance (-60°C to +230°C), chemical inertia, elasticity, and stability against weathering, UV, and ozone. It is non-toxic, odorless, and also available in food-grade or medical versions.
Applications: gaskets, hoses, cables, profiles, and technical articles for food, medical, electrical, and industrial sectors, especially where resistance to heat, sterilization, or contact with sensitive substances is required.
HYPALON (CSM)
Characteristics: synthetic elastomer with high resistance to weathering, ozone, UV rays, and numerous aggressive chemicals. It is waterproof, time-stable, abrasion-resistant, and has self-extinguishing properties.
Applications: industrial gaskets, protective coatings for tanks and pipes, waterproof membranes, shielded electrical cables, anti-corrosion coverings.
VITON (FKM)
Characteristics: fluoroelastomer with excellent chemical and thermal resistance (up to +200°C), resistant to oils, fuels, aggressive solvents, and weathering. Stable, durable, and maintains elastic properties even in extreme environments.
Applications: gaskets, O-rings, oil seals, and coatings for aerospace, chemical, automotive, and petrochemical sectors, where high performance is required under severe chemical or thermal conditions.
